Eastminster was an iron emigrant vessel built in Glasgow in 1876. She was seen after departing Maryborough, Queensland after ignoring a warning from the pilot, heading out to sea in a rising gale on 17 February 1888, bound for Newcastle, New South Wales. Eastminster was presumed lost during a cyclone. Her wreckage was reported on a coral reef approx. 100 miles East of Rockhampton.[2]
